Gage & Madison Wilson + family
My name is Gage Wilson, founder of 10-8 Detailing, and this is my wife Madison and our family. For more than a decade, I've had the privilege of serving in law enforcement, while Madison serves in healthcare. Serving others has never been just a career to us, it has been our calling, and 10-8 is how we get to keep doing it together.
Like many first responders, I learned that serving others often comes with sacrifices. The financial realities of law enforcement meant countless overtime hours and part-time jobs across Northeast Alabama just to provide for my family. I was grateful for every opportunity, but every extra shift came with a price.
That price was time.
Time away from my wife, Madison, and our children. Time away from ball games, family dinners, and moments that can never be replaced. As my youngest son entered his final year of Little League, I had a decision to make: keep chasing overtime, or build something that let me keep serving people while being present for the family God entrusted to me.
That decision became 10-8 Detailing.
Built around family. Built to serve.
People often ask why we aren't a mobile detailing company. The answer is simple: I wanted to build something from home so my family could be part of it. Today, Madison and I often work side by side. We turn on music, laugh together, and build something that belongs to our family while serving others.

After long days in law enforcement and healthcare, careers where we often meet people on some of the hardest days of their lives, we now get to make someone's day a little brighter. That's something we never take for granted.
More than a clean vehicle.
Throughout my law enforcement career, I was known for keeping one of the cleanest patrol vehicles on the road. People asked me why. No matter how stressful the day had been, getting into a clean vehicle gave me a sense of pride, peace, and a fresh start. It reminded me that even when life feels chaotic, there's value in taking care of what you've been given.
If something as simple as a clean vehicle could change the way I felt, it could do the same for someone else. We're not simply cleaning vehicles. We're helping people feel better. A clean vehicle won't solve every problem, but sometimes it can make today just a little bit better. And that matters.
A reputation built one decision at a time.
My reputation is the most valuable thing I have. I wasn't born into wealth. I didn't inherit a business. I grew up fighting an uphill battle. Addiction affected much of my family, and I learned early that I had two choices: let my circumstances define me, or build a different legacy through my own decisions. I chose to build something different.
I've also made mistakes, moments I wish I could do differently, and rebuilding trust wasn't easy. Those experiences taught me something I'll never forget: reputation isn't built by being perfect. It's built by taking responsibility, learning from your failures, and choosing to do what's right, even when it's hard. Those lessons made me a better deputy, a better husband, a better father, and a better business owner.
Honesty is non-negotiable.
If we make a mistake, we own it. If there's something we can't safely fix, we'll tell you. If your vehicle needs something beyond our expertise, we'll point you to someone who can help. We will never mislead someone simply to make a sale.
Money comes and goes. Trust is much harder to earn. When you trust us with your vehicle, you're trusting us with one of your most valuable possessions, along with your time, your hard-earned money, and your confidence. We will never take that for granted.
Why “10-8”?
The name 10-8 comes from the law enforcement radio code meaning “In Service.” When I created this company, I knew I wanted that idea at the center of everything we do. That's why our slogan is Always in Service. To us, those words are a promise: we'll treat you with respect, be honest with you, communicate professionally, own our mistakes, keep improving, and always give you our very best effort.
I tell every customer the same thing: “I can't promise perfection, but I can promise 100% effort.” That isn't marketing. It's who we are. 10-8 Detailing also exists because I wanted my children to see what honest work looks like, that integrity matters, that your word matters, and that success is measured by more than money.
