1.Authorization to Perform Services
The customer represents that they are the owner of the vehicle or have authority to authorize the requested services.
The customer authorizes 10-8 Detailing™ to perform the services requested and to move or operate the vehicle as reasonably necessary while the vehicle is in the company’s care or on company property.
2.Vehicle Condition & Disclosure
Customers are encouraged to disclose known damage, defects, mechanical or electrical issues, aftermarket modifications, loose trim, cracked paint, damaged upholstery, previous repairs, or other conditions before service begins.
10-8 Detailing™ is not responsible for damage or failure resulting from pre-existing damage or defects, normal wear and tear, aged or deteriorated materials, loose, cracked, or previously repaired components, improperly installed aftermarket accessories, mechanical or electrical failures, or hidden defects that were not reasonably visible before service.
3.Personal Property
Customers should remove all personal belongings before service begins, including firearms, medications, cash, jewelry, electronics, documents, and other valuables.
This responsibility applies to items located anywhere inside the vehicle, including glove boxes, consoles, trunks, cargo areas, seat pockets, and other storage compartments.
10-8 Detailing™ is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal property left inside the vehicle. Any personal items found during service may be placed in a bag or container inside the vehicle whenever practical.
4.Keys, Access & Vehicle Operation
Customers are responsible for providing the keys, key fobs, access codes, or other access reasonably necessary to perform the authorized service.
10-8 Detailing™ may start, move, or operate the vehicle as reasonably necessary to perform the authorized services. Customers should not leave unnecessary keys, key fobs, or other valuables inside the vehicle.
5.Results Disclaimer
Detailing can significantly improve the appearance and condition of a vehicle; however, results vary based on the vehicle’s age, condition, materials, previous repairs, contamination, and overall condition.
10-8 Detailing™ does not guarantee complete removal or correction of every stain, odor, scratch, paint defect, oxidation, water spot, pet hair, mold, mildew, permanent discoloration, or other condition. Some conditions may improve but cannot be completely corrected through detailing alone.
6.Additional Charges & Specialized Conditions
Package pricing is based on vehicles in average condition. Vehicles requiring excessive labor, additional time, or specialized cleaning may incur additional charges, including but not limited to:
- Excessive pet hair
- Heavy staining
- Bodily fluids
- Mold or mildew
- Excessive sand, mud, or debris
- Severe contamination
- Biohazard conditions
- Other conditions requiring substantially more labor or specialized procedures
No additional work or charge will be authorized without customer approval whenever reasonably possible.
7.Service Recommendations & Right to Decline a Requested Service
10-8 Detailing™ may recommend against a requested service when, in our reasonable judgment, the service could damage the vehicle or is unlikely to produce an acceptable result.
10-8 Detailing™ may decline or modify a requested service when the condition, material, construction, or circumstances of the vehicle make the requested service unsafe, unreasonable, or likely to cause damage.
8.Photographs, Video & Marketing
10-8 Detailing™ may photograph or video vehicles before, during, and after service for documentation, quality control, training, and damage documentation.
With customer permission, photographs or videos may also be used for marketing and promotional purposes. Customers may request that their vehicle not be used in marketing materials.
10-8 Detailing™ will make reasonable efforts to conceal license plates and personally identifying information upon customer request whenever practical.
9.Appointment Policy
Appointments are reserved specifically for each customer. Customers should notify 10-8 Detailing™ as soon as possible if they need to cancel or reschedule.
Because appointment times are reserved for individual customers, late cancellations, rescheduling, and no-shows may affect the availability of future appointments.
10.Deposits, Cancellations & No-Shows
10-8 Detailing™ does not generally require a deposit to schedule an appointment.
Customers who cancel or reschedule within 48 hours of their scheduled service time, or who fail to appear for a scheduled appointment without prior notice, may be required to pay a $75 non-refundable deposit before another appointment is reserved.
When applicable, the $75 deposit will be applied toward the customer’s future service.
10-8 Detailing™ may waive this requirement when circumstances reasonably warrant an exception, including emergencies, at management’s discretion.
11.Payment
Payment is due immediately upon completion of services unless other arrangements have been agreed to in writing.
Accepted payment methods are those approved by 10-8 Detailing™.
Returned payments, fraudulent payment disputes, or other unpaid balances may be subject to collection efforts and any fees or costs permitted by applicable law.
12.Customer Inspection
Customers are encouraged to inspect their vehicle upon pickup.
Any concern regarding the completed service should be brought to 10-8 Detailing™’s attention before leaving whenever reasonably possible so that the company has an opportunity to review and address the concern promptly.
13.Satisfaction Commitment
10-8 Detailing™’s goal is complete customer satisfaction.
If a customer believes something was overlooked during service, they should notify 10-8 Detailing™ within 24 hours of vehicle pickup. We will make reasonable efforts to review legitimate workmanship concerns and, when appropriate, correct the issue.
14.Vehicle Pickup & Storage
Customers are responsible for arranging timely pickup once services are completed. 10-8 Detailing™ will make reasonable efforts to notify the customer when the vehicle is ready.
Vehicles left beyond an agreed pickup time may be subject to additional storage or related charges when such charges have been disclosed to the customer in advance.
15.Weather & Conditions Beyond Our Control
Because weather and environmental conditions can affect the quality and safety of detailing services, 10-8 Detailing™ reserves the right to reschedule appointments due to severe weather or other conditions beyond the company’s reasonable control.
10-8 Detailing™ will make reasonable efforts to communicate changes and reschedule affected appointments.
16.Right to Refuse or Discontinue Service
10-8 Detailing™ reserves the right to refuse or discontinue service when:
- Conditions are unsafe.
- A vehicle presents a health or sanitation hazard.
- A requested service may reasonably cause damage to the vehicle.
- Illegal items or circumstances are discovered.
- The customer engages in abusive, threatening, harassing, or inappropriate behavior toward staff.
- The condition of the vehicle materially differs from the information provided and the requested service cannot reasonably be performed as scheduled.
17.Limitation of Liability
10-8 Detailing™ will exercise reasonable care while servicing every vehicle.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable Alabama law, 10-8 Detailing™’s liability for a claim arising directly from services performed shall not exceed the amount actually paid by the customer for the specific service giving rise to the claim.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, 10-8 Detailing™ shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of use, diminished value, lost income, or inconvenience.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to limit liability where such limitation is prohibited by applicable law.
18.Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted under the laws of the State of Alabama, except to the extent applicable law requires otherwise.
19.Entire Agreement
These Terms & Conditions apply to estimates, invoices, appointments, and services provided by 10-8 Detailing™, unless otherwise agreed to in writing.
If a written estimate, invoice, service agreement, or other written arrangement contains terms that specifically address a particular service or transaction, those specific written terms will apply to the extent they conflict with these general Terms & Conditions.
20.Customer Acknowledgment
By signing an estimate, approving an estimate electronically, scheduling an appointment, allowing work to begin, or paying an invoice, the customer acknowledges that they have had an opportunity to review these Terms & Conditions, understand them, and agree to be bound by them.
